McLaren Opens New Headquarters in Coppell

McLaren U.S. Headquarters Open in Coppell, Texas

British car maker, McLaren, opened their new headquarters in Coppell, Texas this Saturday, November 12th. The luxury car company chose Coppell because of its closeness to the airport, in hopes that more people will see their car, their technology, their brand.

The new facility is 31,000 square feet, a large improvement from their former Manhattan space, which was roughly around 4,000 square feet. McLaren vice president, Randy Nowell said, “we wanted something with a lot of garage space.” Now they have it.

Visiting the facility was a bit of a wonderland for any car enthusiast, with dozens of McLarens currently housed there, including a $3 million Speedtail on display. The space features both a training center and maintenance shop, as well as a nice size ‘meet and greet’ room with a retractable 12’ by 8’ screen to unveil the latest vehicle, and a room full of art and memorabilia.

Nicholas Brown, President of the Americas at McLaren Automotive Inc. said in his opening statement, “This is a special year for us, we are celebrating ten years since McLaren Automotive has been in the Americas.” He went on to say that, “the Americas is a significant market for McLaren, representing over 40% of global sales.”

2023 will mark 60 years since founder, Bruce McLaren founded the iconic McLaren racing team. And 60 years later, McLaren Automotive is still creating luxury, high-performance vehicles. Each supercar is assembled by hand at the McLaren Production Centre in Surrey, England, and then sold through over 100 retailers in 40 markets around the world. McLaren is about quality over quantity, and will only make around 1,500 cars in 2022.

In their next chapter, McLaren is in the midst of launching Artura, a high performance hybrid supercar. This vehicle uses an all-new engine design, is built on a different platform, and uses an electric motor to deliver the level of performance that McLaren is known for. With the ability to reach 0-60 in as little as 3.0 seconds, the Arturo will provide an exhilarating drive experience. In a McLaren, you will look for excuses to drive.

New facility is located at 1405 S Beltline Road in Coppell, Texas.
